[INS-40718] Single Client Access Name (SCAN):dc01x-scan could not be resolved.
Cause:
While installing grid for RAC clusterware, the below error thrown due to inaccessability of SCAN IP
Error message:
Cause - The name you provided as the SCAN could not be resolved using TCP/IP host name lookup.
Action - Provide name to use for the SCAN for which the domain can be resolved.
Workaround:
Check for the right SCAN name and specify them
[oracle@dc01x01 ~]$ cat /etc/hosts|grep 'scan'
192.168.8.55 DC01X0-scan.localdomain DC01X0-scan
After specifying the right SCAN name, issue was resolved
SSH was successful
